Role Summary: Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the CDL-A Truck Driver ensures accurate and timely deliveries while maintaining professionalism, safety, and customer service standards. The CDL-A Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, lawful, and efficient transportation of finished goods and materials using commercial motor vehicles (CMVs). This role requires strict compliance with all U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), state, local, and Company regulations and policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate Class A commercial motor vehicles safely and in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct pretrips, route, and posttrip inspections including brakes, tires, lights, coupling devices, and cargo securement.
  • Immediately report any vehicle defects, maintenance concerns, or unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain awareness of road, traffic, and weather conditions and adjust driving practices accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and Company safety standards.
  • Delivery & Shipping Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate delivery of finished goods to customers.
  • Verify shipments against bills of lading and shipping documentation.
  • Maintain accuracy between shipments and delivery of paperwork.
  • Assist with loading and unloading freight using pallet jacks, liftgates, or other approved equipment.
  • Secure cargo properly in accordance with DOT cargo securement regulations.
  • Maintain timely deliveries while providing excellent customer service.
  • Hours of Service (HOS) Compliance
  • Comply with all FMCSA Hours of Service regulations.
  • Accurately maintain Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and required documentation.
  • Follow Company procedures regarding route logs, fuel records, and trip documentation.
  • Regulatory & Company Compliance
  • Participate in required DOT drug and alcohol testing programs.
  • Maintain all required driver qualifications and DOT medical certifications.
  • Follow all Company policies regarding electronic device usage and safe driving practices.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training programs as required.
  • Incident Reporting
  • Immediately report accidents, injuries, citations, vehicle damage, or nearmiss incidents.
  • Cooperate with law enforcement, Company representatives, and insurance personnel during investigations.
  • Requirements:
  • Valid CDLA license required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Current DOT medical examiner’s certificate required.
  • Clean driving record that meets the Company and insurance standards.
  • 21 years or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of CDLA driving experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of truck route driving experience preferred.
  • Experience operating commercial motor vehicles in a preferred manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Schedule:
  • Full time position; Monday thru Friday 6:00am 2:00pm (1st Shift)
  • Overtime, weekends and oncall work may be required based on operational needs
  • Salary: $20.00 – $26.00/hour base

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and internal departments.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Strong problemsolving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb into and out of trucks and trailers safely.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting.
  • Ability to work in varying outdoor weather conditions and manufacturing environments.
  • Safety Policies & Practices:
  • Safety glasses and steeltoe shoes are required in manufacturing areas.
  • Hearing protection is required in designated areas.
  • Employees operating forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, or hand trucks must complete Company certification training.
