Job Title: Part-Time Teacher
Location: St. Martin Early Learning Center, Erie, PA
Hours: 25 hours per week
Salary: Up to $18/hr depending on education
Job Description:
St. Martin Early Learning Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate part-time teacher to join our quality STAR 4 rated facility that provides a safe and stimulating space for young learners to grow and thrive.
Candidate must have a CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or a degree in the human services field. As a teacher at our center, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for young children, fostering their development and growth through engaging activities and structured learning.
Responsibilities:
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about their child's progress.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the overall well-being of the children.
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of CDA, human services degree preferred
- Previous experience working with children of at least 2 years
- Must be able to work Afternoons
- Ability to obtain all necessary clearances, pass a physical and tb test, and lift in excess of 25 lbs.
- Ability to be flexible and work with all age groups
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Passion for early childhood education and child development.
