Job description

AlphaBEST Education - Before/After School Site Director - CDA Certified/MasterTeacher Credentials

AlphaBEST: After school is where adventures begin!

Location: Elementary & Middle schools within Norman Public Schools

Schedule: *** Monday-Friday *** No weekends!!!***

AM shift 6:15 am - start of school/breakfast PM shift 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm (AM shift optional)

Benefits:

Here is what you will need:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; additional education preferred
  • CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain)
  • At least 3 years of experience in a school-age program or teaching setting preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership and supervision preferred
  • Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
You can meet the requirements for a Master Teacher/ CDA Certification in one of the following ways:
  • CDA Certification
  • CCP Credential
  • 12 credit hours in ECE/CD/SA through CECPD
  • Oklahoma Certificate of Mastery
  • 1050 hours of training and take the Master Teachers test (Must show proof of certificate)

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the site: schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation
  • Oversee/facilitate curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations
  • Build a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards
  • Make child safety the top priority at all times
  • Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections
  • Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements
  • Supervise and mentor your site team, providing coaching and feedback and ensuring training requirements are met
  • Represent AlphaBEST with professionalism at school and community events
  • Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success
