Location: Camp Parks, CA 
Clearance Required: Active DoD TS/SCI with CI Poly (or eligibility to obtain within 60 days)
Schedule: Rotating shift work providing 24/7 mission support. Four days on / four days off, with day-to-night rotation every 56 days. 
Required Certifications: Must meet DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification requirements (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE, GSEC, CCNA).
Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in classified IT services and networking.
 
Description
 
PingWind is seeking a qualified Systems Administrator to provide full-time support for a critical Department of Defense mission. This position requires shift work in order to sustain 24/7/365 operations. The successful candidate will perform system and network administration, provide mission support, and ensure the availability and security of classified and unclassified information systems. 
 
Responsibilities
 
• Provide administration, operation, and maintenance of Windows systems in support of mission networks.
• Perform real-time monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of system, network, and application issues.
• Configure and maintain user accounts, group policies, access controls, and file permissions in compliance with DoD directives.
• Install, configure, and maintain servers, routers, switches, and Type 1 encryption devices.
• Implement and enforce cybersecurity standards, including application of DISA STIGs, IAVAs, and patch management.
• Maintain accurate system documentation, operational logs, and trouble ticket records.
• Conduct system lifecycle replacement for classified systems.
• Support compliance with Army Information Assurance (IA) requirements.
• Participate in shift turnover briefings and coordinate with the supporting operations team to maintain uninterrupted mission operations.
• Travel CONUS and OCONUS as required to support mission objectives.
 
Requirements 
 
• Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph within 60 days.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in classified IT services and networking.
• Experience with Windows Server operating systems, including virtualization technologies.
• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity standards, STIGs, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to support shift-based schedules to maintain continuous 24/7 mission coverage.
• Must meet DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification requirements (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE, GSEC, CCNA).
• Must possess or obtain required Operating System Environment Certifications for privileged access.
 
Preferred Qualifications
 
• Hands-on experience with routing and switching technologies (Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent).
• Experience with Type 1 cryptographic devices (e.g., KG-series).
• Higher-level cybersecurity or network certifications (e.g., CASP+, CISSP, CCNP Security).
• Previous experience supporting intelligence community or DoD mission environments.
