Job description

Position Overview:
To lead CBT’s strategic objective to provide our people access to a training and personal development curriculum that will enable our people to enjoy a long term professionally and personally rewarding career at CBT.
To work with CBT leaders to maintain, improve and broaden the depth and breadth of meaningful and impactful training available to all departments through CBT University.
To develop and manage key performance metrics to monitor the quality, effectiveness, and impact of CBT University.
To maintain training plans and related training history for the company, department and individually.

  • None
Responsibilities:
  • Develop the 1,3, and 5-year CBT University training program/curriculum
  • Build the curriculum within CBT University to address CBT’s strategic objectives.
  • Work with each department head/business unit leader to develop and maintain the curriculum, programs, training tools and administrative support necessary to achieve corporate, department and business unit objectives and comparison to our current baseline training offerings by department and individual in order to maintain a “CBT training GAP analysis”.
  • Identify and assess the training needs of the organization through job needs analysis, career paths, consultation with managers.
  • Develop individualized and group training programs that address specific business needs and the career development needs of our personnel.
  • Establish training KPI’s to monitor and evaluate company performance to ensure that training is meeting the companies needs and improving performance.
  • Effectively communicate training goals, objectives and KPI’s with team members and management.
  • Select and manage resources to develop and deliver training in a timely, effective, impactful manner.
  • Manage the various technologies and technical personnel required to develop, manage, and deliver training offered.
  • Keep abreast of training trends, developments, and best practices.
  • Schedule appropriate training sessions.
  • Oversee and facilitate seminars, workshops, individual training sessions, and lectures.
  • Facilitate preparation of training materials such as module summaries, videos, and presentations.
Experience:
  • 5+ years in a for profit company training role
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Education, HR, or equivalent relevant business experience
  • Professional training certification as a certified professional in training and management (CPTM or other comparable certification a plus)

  • Work is performed within a general office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing, walking, lifting (overhead, waist level), bending, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
