Job description

Registered Nurse - Floating

Float RN provides flexible staffing across various program settings, ensuring high-quality patient care and adapting to diverse clinical environments. Provides comprehensive health services as applicable. Works collaboratively with Outpatient Clinic, Residential program and outside providers to facilitate client wellness. Maintains all applicable confidentiality and ethical standards of relevant governing bodies. Effectively supports ongoing and collaborative communication amongst all program staff and is responsible for ensuring a trauma informed care environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Outpatient Clinic.
  • Identifies immediate and long-term health care needs.
  • Makes appropriate referrals and recommendations based on findings of the health assessments.
  • Communicates and collaborates with appropriate Agency staff, and related community organizations.
  • Completes required electronic patient record forms related to the health assessment and medication processes.
  • Coordinates care with primary care providers and other specialists through health monitoring.
  • Administers Injectable medications as prescribed
  • Residential Program
  • Identifies immediate and long-term health care needs.
  • Makes appropriate referrals and recommendations based on findings of the health assessments.
  • Communicates and collaborates with appropriate Agency staff, and related community organizations.
  • Completes required electronic patient record forms related to the health assessment and medication processes.
  • Provide health monitoring for clients
  • Participates in Case Conferences as needed.
  • Administers Injectable medications as prescribed
  • Supervise LPN duties while on site
  • Responsible for patient records
  • Completes required documentation in accordance with regulations and other record keeping as necessary for program accountability
  • Participates in quality assurance and program evaluation activities as directed.
  • Provides education to clients on health and wellness issues.
  • Participates in staff meetings and clinical supervision as directed
  • Actively pursues development of professional competencies related to job performance through reading, supervision, in-service training and attendance at conferences and workshops.
  • Awareness and active support of the Agency's Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan. Including, but not limited to, supporting the Agency's Core Competency initiatives of being Collaborative and Community Focused, Innovative and Entrepreneurial, and Culturally Competent and Diverse
  • Participates in relevant Agency meetings and/or trainings
  • Demonstrates an aptitude and willingness to learn new responsibilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, meet deadlines, multi-task and solve problems
  • Proficiency in PC software, especially word processing and spreadsheet programs
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education: Minimum of an Associate degree in Nursing required. Bachelor of Science degree is preferred.

Credentials: Professional Registered Nursing License in good standing.

Experience: At least two years of experience related to nursing services to individuals with Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder-related services strongly preferred. Bi-lingual in Spanish also preferred.
