Role Description


Role Title: Assistant Worship Director - Brockport

Reports to: Worship Director


Role Overview: The Assistant Worship Director plays a vital role in supporting the mission and vision of Hope Church, working closely with the worship team to plan and lead Christ-centered, spiritually engaging worship services, primarily at Hopes Brockport campus.

Our Vision: To see an ever-increasing number of people trust in Jesus Christ and faithfully live
out the 5Gs of discipleship.


Position Responsibilities:

Support the overall mission, vision, and values of Hope Church.

Lead engaging, Christ-centered worship.

Lead rehearsals with musicians, vocalists, and tech team.

Collaborate with the Worship Leadership Team to plan and implement impactful worship services.

Be intentional with song selection, keeping in mind the sermon theme and spiritual focus of each service.

Arrange music to suit the skill level of the team while maintaining musical and theological integrity.

Provide spiritual leadership to worship team members while modeling a consistent and authentic personal faith walk.

Pray regularly for guidance and discernment in planning worship services and serving the needs of the congregation.

Help create a warm and welcome church atmosphere that encourages congregational worship participation.

Position Requirements:


Strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and a desire to minister through worship. Passion for pursuing the lost and fostering spiritual growth within a growing campus community.


Heart for discipleship and the ability to mentor and multiply leadership in others. Proficient in piano, guitar or another instrument that allows for effective worship leading. Proficient vocalist.


Self-motivated with a strong work ethic who is able to work independently and as part of a team.


Excellent organizational and time management skills; attention to detail and follow-through.


Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Committed to being an engaged and contributing member of the church community, not merely serving in a professional capacity.
