DETAILS: FULL-TIME (40 HOURS/WEEK) | DAY SHIFT
WHO WE ARE
With 12 ministries and access points across Indiana and Illinois, Franciscan Health is one of the largest Catholic health care systems in the Midwest. Franciscan Health takes pride in hiring coworkers that provide compassionate, comprehensive care for our patients and the communities we serve.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Assess patient nutritional needs, diet restrictions and develop a dietary care plan.
  • Counsel individuals and groups on basic rules of proper nutrition, healthy eating habits, and nutrition monitoring to improve quality of life.
  • Advise patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans and diet modifications, and food selection and preparation.
  • Consult with physicians and Healthcare personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patient or client.
  • Provide nutritional counseling on special diets to ensure proper preparation and consumption of nourishment.
  • Plans and conducts special need group sessions for weight reduction and control.

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED
  • Lead and coach others.
  • Basic skills with computer software, hardware, and communication devices to perform tasks.
  • Convince others in difficult or challenging situations.
  • Identify and understand patterns and relationships between numbers.
  • Knowledge of terminology used in diagnosis and classification of illnesses, injuries, and disabilities.

  • Knowledge of typical and atypical human systems and development.
  • Critically evaluate and analyze information in written materials.
  • Deliver presentations and public speaking engagements.
