ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.

Electrophysiology Registered Nurse (EP RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 3 x 12 hour shifts, primarily days with some late night (evenings), holidays, on call/call per unit needs.

Job Description

The Electrophysiology Registered Nurse (EP RN) plays a vital role in performing diagnostic electrophysiology procedures and interventions. Responsibilities include preparing the patient for procedures, ensuring equipment functionality, monitoring recording during procedures, and assisting with lab analysis and data interpretation.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients and equipment for electrophysiological studies and ablations.
  • Ensure timely patient care by facilitating room turnover and coordinating with the Charge Nurse and vendors.
  • Assist with pacing implementation and installation of permanent cardiac devices.
  • Provide support during procedures, including maintaining fluids for ablation catheters and documenting in the EPIC system.
  • Remain patient-focused while assisting anesthesia and backing up pacing during implants.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Current New York RN License.
  • 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
  • Proficiency in moderate sedation is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with GE (MacLab & CardioLab) systems is a plus.
