JOB DESCRIPTION


Summary/Objective – Will prepare wholesome meals and snacks for children enrolled in the Inclusive Early Learning program, following the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines. 

General Duties
  • Plan and prepare daily meals and snacks based on CACFP preschool guidelines
  • Customize menus to meet special dietary needs (e.g. allergies, cultural preferences)
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards, complying with health regulations
  • Assist with completion of CACFP documentation (meal counts, production records, inventory logs)
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to support smooth meal transitions and routines
  • Participate in nutrition-related activities that encourage healthy habits
  • Ongoing CACFP training and certification maintenance
Requirements:

 Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (culinary training a plus)

Preferred Education

  • Knowledge of CACFP requirements
  • Current Food Handler’s Certificate
