Since 1999, GGC has redefined the culinary landscape with bold, restaurant-quality cuisine, seamless logistics, and immersive event design. As Northern California's first certified Green Business caterer, Global Gourmet is trusted by Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders to deliver exceptional service at some of the region's most prestigious venues and large-scale events.

Our teams span culinary, warehouse, logistics, administrative, and field-based roles across a range of high-profile and high-volume event environments.

We are seeking experienced and professional Bartenders to join our seasonal event team.

Position Summary

The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service at catered events, including weddings, corporate functions, galas, concerts, and private receptions. During events, you will prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently while providing a welcoming and professional guest experience. You'll engage with guests, answer questions about beverage offerings, and ensure service aligns with Global Gourmet Catering's hospitality standards.

You will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) requirements, verifying identification when necessary, and monitoring alcohol consumption to ensure responsible service practices are followed.

At the conclusion of each event, you will assist with bar breakdown, inventory reconciliation, cleaning, and the proper storage of equipment and supplies.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to event locations throughout the Bay Area

Preferred

  • Experience working catered events, banquets, weddings, or large-scale hospitality functions
  • Knowledge of beverage presentation, wine service, and specialty cocktails
  • Experience working alongside culinary, service, and event management teams

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often exceeding 8 hours
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and moving throughout event spaces
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume event environments

Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.

Why Join Us?

  • Flexible scheduling based on event availability
  • Opportunity to work at premier venues and events throughout the Bay Area
  • Dynamic and team-oriented work environment
  • Opportunity to gain experience with one of Northern California's leading catering and event production companies
