THE ROLE

Concessions Cashiers at Circle Line Cruises are responsible for providing fast and friendly service to all guests across our six sailing vessels and Pier side cafe. Cashiers support both sightseeing cruises and private event sailings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare simple menu items.

  • Interact with customers to ensure superior customer satisfaction.

  • Carefully enter all sales into POS system to ensure that all purchases are accurately recorded.

  • Perform closing duties including cleaning up, product storage, and trash removal.

  • Provide quick, efficient, accurate, and friendly service to all guests.

  • Verify I.D. on all customers ordering alcohol.

  • Suggestively sell and upsell items.

  • Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area.

  • Interact with co-workers to ensure compliance with company service standards, company inventory, and cash control procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to interact with co-workers to ensure compliance with company service standards.

  • Ability to work onboard of a moving vessel for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

  • Must be able to work fluently in English.

  • Ability to work in an environment that may include exposure to loud noise, crowded spaces, and variable temperatures.

  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds, up and down stairs/ramps.

  • Flexibility to work extended or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • Ability to effectively listen and take direction from supervisors

  • Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks, including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time.

  • Must meet state and local health requirements for food handlers and alcoholic beverage services.

  • Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations, complete company-wide safety training, and any additional job-specific safety training.
