Casting Specialist – Jewelry Manufacturing

We are seeking an experienced Casting Specialist to join our US operations, focusing on precision and quality in the jewelry casting process. As a Casting Worker at Shop LC, you will be responsible for assisting in the production of jewelry components through the casting process. This role involves preparing molds, operating casting equipment, handling metals, and ensuring quality standards are met to support efficient and timely production.

Casting Specialist – Jewelry Manufacturing will report directly to the Casting Specialist Supervisor of Shop LC.

Work Location – 100 Michael Angelo Way, Suite 300, Austin, Texas 78728

The following are the primary job responsibilities for the role:

  • Operate and monitor casting machines to produce jewelry components.
  • Prepare wax models, invest molds, and handle metals during the melting and pouring process.
  • Follow established production processes to maintain product consistency and quality.
  • Inspect finished castings for defects and ensure proper finishing before sending them for polishing or setting.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the casting area.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance and report any technical issues to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all Shop LC safety and compliance guidelines.

In order to perform this role, we are looking for someone with

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training in jewelry manufacturing is a plus).
  • Prior experience in jewelry casting or manufacturing preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with handling metals and casting equipment.
  • Physical stamina to work in a production environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Physical Requirements

  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps.
  • Moving around to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Frequently lift 20-50lbs and occasionally lift 50 to 70 pounds.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
