Job Description:

  • Operate, maintain, fill and clean all furnaces and launder systems to ensure timely delivery of metal to the casting machines.
  • Check temperatures and other gauges for proper working order, adjusting as necessary.
  • Add hot metal, ingot, sows, and scrap to furnaces.
  • Take alloy gas readings and submit to Quality.
  • Clean and remove oxidized aluminum from furnaces and launder system.
  • Assist Die Cast Operators as needed.
  • Deliver metal to reverbs, holding furnaces, launder and casting machines.
  • Provide metal samples to Quality for evaluation.
