Job Description:

The Onsite Mold Processor will set up, operate, or tend metal or plastic molding, casting, or core making machines to mold or cast metal or thermoplastic parts or products. This is a 3rd Shift position.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Applies knowledge of functions and processes of various departments and capacities of machines and equipment to determine tool requirements and establish sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts.
  2. Assists with the maintenance on press machines and change the resin at the press machines.
  3. Improve the process of the Krauss-Maffei and Toshiba machines.
  4. Adjust the heat stamp and crimping machines in ensure quality of the product.
  5. Lists operations to be performed on routing card or paper, indicates machines, cutting tools, fixtures, and other equipment to be used, and estimates times needed to perform each operation.
  6. Set up work cell during mold changes and style changes.
  7. Complete sample testing of old and new molds to guarantee a quality product.
  8. Assist in covering production floor when a supervisor is not available.
  9. Assist in training of operators about how to use their press.
  10. Train employees on new robot programs and ensure the employees understand how the robot operates.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Supervised or Directed:

  • Reports to Maintenance Manager

Qualifications, Experience requirements:

  • 2-year degree in related field
  • 2 to 4 years of experience
  • Ability to use SAP, MS Office, and Kronos software programs
  • Teamwork skills
  • Written and oral communication skills

  • Detailed and hands-on oriented.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical ability, which may include standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, and working in areas that are not climate controlled for long periods.
