Description:

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the production of die castings to Linamarโ€™s quality standards by following established procedures and work instructions and for safely operating high tech production equipment.


Responsibilities

  • Participates in Linamarโ€™s Safety Initiatives
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
  • Support the die cast/trim and other servicesโ€™ efforts to keep a continuous flow of high quality castings throughout the plant.
  • Operating all cell equipment including: Die Cast Machines, Trim Presses, Automatic Sprayers, Extraction Equipment, Hoists, Holding Furnaces, Tip Lubricators, Hot Oil Units, Vacuum Units, Metal Lading Equipment, Shot Blast Equipment.
  • Assists and/or performs die changes and sampling following established process set up sheets and sampling packages.
  • Adheres to the Quality Standards
  • Perform and accurately recording results of quality checks as defined by Dimensional Control Plan.
  • Follows appropriate procedures to request process changes.
  • Accurately completes route tags and employee production sheets following outlined work instructions.
  • Assisting maintenance or tool room with repairs and routine maintenance to equipment or dies to the level you have been trained.
  • Other duties as assigned

Academic Requirements

ยท High School Diploma or Equivalency preferred

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 6 months of Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to apply logic to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
