Casino Soft Count Manager


Join our team as a Soft Count Manager in a fun, fast-paced environment with room to grow! The purpose of this position is to manage the daily operations of the Soft Count room and the staff.

Salary range is based on skills and experience. This full-time position features excellent employer-paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.


 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Three or more years soft count experience handling cash with two year of supervisory work experience required.
  • Ten-key experience required. Some college with emphasis in accounting or business management preferred.
  • Casino experience preferred. Must be able to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.
  • Additional education or related experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of the position.


 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversees staff supervision, training, evaluation, interviewing, scheduling, hiring, termination, promoting, disciplining, and authorizing payroll adjustments to include but not limited to payroll action notices.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors department budget; approves purchases, supply orders, and expenditures.
  • Coordinates and oversees all Count Room employee activities to ensure compliance with casino policies and procedures such as recording of the Drop Boxes.
  • Evaluates, recommends and drafts changes to the Soft Count policies, procedures and internal controls to maximize efficiency of the count operation.
  • Working knowledge of Regulatory Compliance for department oversight and to suggest and implement changes as needed.
  • Coordinates with Security, Cage and Finance to ensure proper coordination of Soft Count tasks.
  • Help resolve Soft Count issues by assisting with count room operations as needed to ensure adequate staffing, trained personnel and observe procedures for compliance purposes.
  • Conducts research to effectively resolve Soft Count Room issues.
  • Ensures the Soft Count Room equipment is appropriately maintained.
  • May perform other job-related duties as assigned.


 COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge of: soft count operations, procedures, regulations and processes.
  • Skills in: strong communication and organization; and use and operation of personal computer and related soft count equipment.
  • Ability to: supervise and provide direction to soft count staff; and resolve issues or concerns.


Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
