Job description

Vontive is a growing FinTech company focused on leveraging our proprietary technology to make accessing capital fast and simple for real estate investors involved in fix-and-flip projects or rental properties purchases. Vontive recently internalized its loan servicing operations and is now developing a robust loan servicing unit with a clear strategy for expanding its capabilities and responsibilities.
Position Summary
Vontive is seeking a Cash Operations & Investor Reporting Analyst to serve as a critical link between our servicing team, loan funding operations, and internal accounting teams. This role is essential to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our loan servicing operations, cash management processes, and investor reporting functions.
The successful candidate will record daily transactions, manage cash reconciliation processes, prepare monthly investor remittance reports, and conduct financial modeling for warehouse lending operations. You will support loan servicing transfers, perform quality control reviews, and work across multiple systems to ensure seamless operations and compliance with investor requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to build expertise in loan servicing operations while playing a key coordinating role within a growing organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Cash Operations & Reconciliation:
  • Execute daily cash management process by reconciling loan servicing transactions (monthly loan payments, payoffs, etc.) with cash receipts
  • Process and record borrower payments, adjustments, interest, and escrow collected to the servicing system
  • Monitor and analyze discrepancies in cash reconciliation, taking prompt action to resolve issues
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and processes to ensure the accuracy of cash flow reporting and loan accounts
2. Investor Reporting & Financial Modeling:
  • Prepare and reconcile collections remittance reports for investors
  • Conduct detailed financial modeling of loans on Vontive's shared warehouse line to precisely calculate interest charges, interest earned, and other items required to determine disbursements to affiliates
  • Perform financial modeling of interest remittance splits
  • Analyze loan sale trade terms and reconcile them with data in Vontive's system and with third-party servicers
3. Quality Control & System Management:
  • Run monthly quality control checks over servicing records in both Vontive's system and third-party servicer platforms
  • Review insurance-related transactions executed by third-party insurance tracking providers and update Vontive's internal system with any escrow balance changes

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in loan servicing, cash operations, or investor reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, complex formulas, pivot tables)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for investor reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
