Job description

🚀 Help Brands Win on Amazon - and Love Where You Work
📍 Role: Sr Manager, B2B Content Marketing
📍 Location: San Diego, CA 92101 (Onsite at Symphony Towers)
💰 Compensation Range: $160,000-$200,000 DOE
At Luminize, we help brands win, and as one of the top 5 Amazon sellers in the US, we're looking for top performers to grow with us.
We're looking for a content leader who can turn expert insight into editorial impact. As our Sr. Manager of B2B Content Marketing, you'll own the content engine that positions Luminize as the go-to growth partner for enterprise brands navigating Amazon and ecommerce. You'll run the editorial calendar, shape our voice, and make sure every piece we publish earns its place.
🎯 What You'll Own
📅 Editorial Planning & Execution Own the content roadmap across blog, case studies, industry reports, newsletter, and long-form thought leadership. Partner with the VP of Marketing to translate company priorities into a quarterly content plan - and leverage internal SMEs to produce high-authority, credible content that actually helps our audience make better decisions.
📣 Channel Ownership & Distribution Drive distribution across owned channels (blog, newsletter, LinkedIn) and coordinate amplification with paid and social. Own our SEO strategy end-to-end - keyword research, on-page optimization, and competitive gap analysis. Partner with our HubSpot owner to ensure content is actively nurturing pipeline at every lifecycle stage.
🏆 Customer Stories & Sales Enablement Surface real client outcomes and develop them into case studies, testimonials, and proof points that Sales and BD can use in every conversation. Build a steady pipeline of customer stories mapped to the buying journey.
📊 Performance & Operations Define and report on content KPIs: organic traffic, MQLs sourced from content, content-influenced pipeline, engagement, and share of voice. Manage freelance writers and agency partners. Own quality, voice, and accuracy across everything published under Luminize's name.
🤝 Cross-Functional Partnership Collaborate with Brand on visual identity and major campaigns. Partner with senior leadership on speaking narratives, conference content, and executive LinkedIn presence. Stay close to Sales conversations and client wins to surface the stories that matter.
What You Bring
✍ 5+ years in content marketing, editorial, or thought leadership in B2B environments - with hands-on experience executing long-form content end-to-end, not just managing others who do
🛒 Experience in ecommerce, marketplaces, or retail; familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, Amazon Ads, or DSP is a meaningful plus
🖥 Proficiency with HubSpot, Google Analytics, and at least one SEO platform (Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Clearscope)
🤖 Comfortable using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to accelerate research, drafting, and editing without sacrificing quality or voice
👥 Track record of managing freelancers, contractors, or junior writers
🎯 A skilled writer and editor first - with a high bar for clarity, accuracy, and voice - who is also pragmatic enough to know that a great piece nobody reads doesn't move the business
📈 Data-literate enough to turn GA, HubSpot, and SEO reports into editorial decisions
🗂 A strong project manager who keeps multiple pieces, contributors, and deadlines on track - and a direct communicator who can push back when a topic won't land or a deadline isn't realistic
🏙 You'll be based in Symphony Towers, one of San Diego's premier office spaces that offers:
  • Stunning views of the city and coastline
  • Free access to the building gym
  • Discounts at restaurants and cafes in the tower
  • Secure bike racks in the building and 24/7 paid parking in a nearby downtown structure
  • Close walking distance to 100+ of the top bars, restaurants, and coffee shops

Our office is designed for comfort, productivity, and collaboration, featuring:
  • Ergonomic standing desks and high-quality workstations
  • A fully stocked snack bar, espresso machine, and cold drinks
  • A welcoming team lounge area and sunny workspaces
  • A clean, modern space where we can do our best work together

🎁 Benefits & Perks
Our people are our #1 priority. Our benefits include:
  • Multiple medical plan options through Anthem Blue Cross
  • Dental & vision insurance (including orthodontia and annual exams)
  • Pet benefit program with savings on vet care, products, and services
  • Paid vacation (accruing up to 120+ hours/year with rollover and cap)
  • Paid holidays annually
  • Coverage for spouses/domestic partners and dependents under 26
  • Benefits begin on the first of the month after your hire date

💵 Compensation Transparency We've listed a compensation range to account for varying levels of experience, skill sets, and leadership depth. Where you land in the range will depend on how your background aligns with this role.
We're committed to compensating based on value and impact, not just years on paper, and we're happy to have open conversations throughout the process.
📈 Why Luminize
This isn't a "keep the lights on" operations role. You'll be building the infrastructure for a company in growth mode, with the executive authority and resources to do it right.
At Luminize, we offer clear career paths, promote from within, and invest in people who drive results. You'll have direct access to senior leadership, close collaboration across brand management, advertising, and commercial teams, and a team that move fast and treats every brand like it's our own.
🏢 About Luminize
