Job description

The Opportunity

What if you could join a growing plaintiff firm where your work truly matters? Our client is an entrepreneurial plaintiff personal injury law firm that has built a reputation for exceptional client service while helping injured clients through some of the most difficult times in their lives. As the firm continues to grow, they're looking for an experienced Case Manager who wants to become an integral part of that growth—not simply another employee. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their files, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to work alongside an attorney who is deeply invested in building a high-performing team.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • Opportunity to help build and shape a growing law firm.
  • High level of autonomy and trust. • Direct access to the owner with the ability to make an immediate impact.
  • Opportunity for long-term career growth as the firm expands.
  • Collaborative culture focused on doing things the right way—not simply moving volume.
  • Competitive compensation with performance-based bonus opportunities
  • Hybrid/WFH availability

What You'll Be Doing

You'll manage a pre-suit personal injury caseload from signed client through settlement and case closure while serving as one of the primary points of contact for clients throughout their case.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing approximately 80-85 active pre-suit files (ramped up over time)
  • Maintaining proactive client communication every two weeks • Ordering and reviewing medical records and bills
  • Preparing demand packages
  • Tracking treatment and case progression
  • Reviewing liens and preparing settlement disbursement statements
  • Assisting with settlement negotiations
  • Coordinating with providers, adjusters, investigators, and attorneys
  • Keeping cases moving efficiently while identifying potential issues before they become problems
  • Maintaining accurate documentation within the firm's case management system W

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who has experience owning a file—not simply performing one piece of the process. Ideal candidates will have:

  • 5+ years of plaintiff personal injury case management experience
  • Experience independently managing pre-suit files from intake through settlement
  • Strong understanding of: Medical records and billing, Demand preparation, Liens, Settlement disbursement statements, Negotiating routine settlements
  • Experience with trucking, catastrophic injury, or wrongful death cases is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail • Excellent client communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize a high-volume caseload • Experience with Filevine or similar case management software
  • Comfort learning and utilizing new technology and AI tools

The Person Who Will Thrive Here

The successful candidate is someone who:

  • Takes ownership instead of waiting for direction
  • Naturally asks questions and enjoys learning • Is proactive rather than reactive
  • Enjoys building relationships with clients • Takes pride in accuracy and follow-through
  • Wants to grow alongside a growing law firm
  • Enjoys collaborating with teammates in a growing firm where everyone contributes to client success
  • Exercises sound judgment and solves routine problems independently while knowing when to escalate legal issues to the attorney

If you're looking for an opportunity where you'll be trusted, challenged, and given the chance to grow with an ambitious law firm, we'd love to tell you more. Apply today or schedule a time to learn more.
