CARRIER SALES REPRESENTATIVE
What the Job Entails:
  • Develop and maintain carrier relationships through proactive outreach and networking via phone and email.
  • Aggressively solicit carriers to secure coverage for customer freight, utilizing our technology platforms and other data sources.
  • Communicate regularly with carriers to assess capacity availability, discuss network opportunities, and negotiate transportation rates on both spot and contracted levels.
  • Optimize carrier rates to maximize profitability while ensuring optimal load volume.
  • Stay informed on current market trends, seasonality, and industry developments to negotiate competitive rates.
  • Provide clear communication of load details and shipment requirements to carrier dispatch and drivers throughout the shipment lifecycle.
  • Update system records promptly with load status changes, issues, and concerns for internal team visibility.
  • Monitor shipment progress daily to ensure coverage, on-time delivery, and resolution of any transit issues.
  • Collaborate effectively with customer operations, account management, and sales teams to provide solutions to opportunities and enhance service delivery.

This is a full-time permanent position from Monday to Friday.
Traffic Tech has implemented preventative measures and safety precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of all persons entering Traffic Tech facilities. For example, upon arrival masks are mandatory, employees are greeted by our in-house full-time health screeners, social distancing is maintained in all common areas (6ft/2m), hand sanitizer stations are strategically spaced out around the office, there is a restricted flow of traffic within the office to avoid interdepartmental spreads or outbreaks, and increased cleaning of all office spaces and warehouses.
