Job description

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the carpets, wood, tile and concrete floors, and public area furniture of the property.

  • Ability to understand written English to read caution signs, safety notices, chemicals and Supervisor's instructions
  • Must be able to understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guests
  • Must possess knowledge of use, cleaning, and breakdown of equipment
  • High School diploma or equivalent

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work may be performed in an area, which may be unusually noisy and crowded
  • Mobility to include bending, reaching, prolonged standing and walking, accessing and lifting items from floor level to six feet high
  • Normal sense of smell, touch, sound and vision range 
  • Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity 
  • Work area is subject to variable temperatures
  • May be subject to smoking environment and moderate noise

  • Responsible for vacuuming, extracting and spot cleaning carpets throughout the property.
  • Responsible for stripping, top scrubbing, damp mopping, dry mopping and buffing of all wood, tile and concrete floors throughout the property
  • Responsible for extracting all chairs and stools as necessary
  • Responsible for thorough cleaning of the machinery, as necessary after assignments are completed
  • Reports all equipment malfunctions to the Executive Housekeeper
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
  • Must be available for all scheduled work
