Position Highlights:

    • Pay: $22.09+ per hour
    • Contract Type: 1-year contract
    • Schedule: 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, Federal Holidays excluded
    • Location:
      • 2400 Hospital Road, Tuskegee, AL 36083
  • Requirements:
    • Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
    • 3+ years of carpentry experience and knowledge in the construction field.
    • OSHA 30-hour construction certification.
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
    • Work at heights and climb ladders.
    • Work in confined spaces.
    • Work in high temperatures.
    • Work in a noisy environment.
    • Work may involve potential hazardous exposures such as asbestos, machine parts, soot, dirt, grease, chemicals, oil, and fumes.

What does a typical day look like for the Carpenters?

You will:

  • 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, Federal Holidays excluded.
  • Measures, cuts, constructs, or repairs wood or wood substitute items such as scaffolding, staging parts, panels, bin pallets, concrete forms, dry walls, and roof decking.
  • Measures, cuts, constructs, installs, repairs, and modifies building components such as rafters, walls, staircases, windows, and frames, trim work, and cabinets.
  • Independently plans and completes projects that involve constructing, altering, repairing, and/or modifying framework, rafters, doors, finished paneling, windows, interior/exterior trim, staircases, trusses, and beams.
  • Plans, measures, and lay out carpentry materials using broad knowledge of wood materials and substitutes with general and precision woodworking techniques.
  • Knowledge of metal framing for walls and drop ceilings.
  • Concrete and Masonry skills.
  • Projects involve constructing, altering, repairing, and/or modifying framework, rafters, doors, finished paneling, windows, interior/ exterior trim, staircases, trusses, and beams.
