In this role, you may review the blueprints and plans for the finished product with the lead carpenters, then you perform tasks under their supervision. Your job duties may include measuring lengths, cutting wood, and holding beams while they are secured into place. Carpenter assistants typically do not work on the main parts of the project, such as communicating with the client and establishing the start of the structure.
