Oakbrook Corporation is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Technician to support Courtyard - Grand Chute Senior Apartments, a 61-unit senior living community in Appleton. This position is ideal for someone looking for a flexible part-time opportunity (14 hours per week) while making a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors.

As the Maintenance Technician, no two days are the same. From completing maintenance requests and preventative maintenance to preparing apartments for new residents and maintaining the property's curb appeal, you'll play a key role in keeping the community running smoothly. You'll work independently while also partnering with the Property Manager and Oakbrook's regional maintenance team to provide exceptional service.

Our residents appreciate friendly faces and responsive service, making communication and professionalism just as important as technical skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance involving HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and general building components
  • Complete resident work orders in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with apartment turnovers, including repairs, painting, cleaning coordination, and move-in preparation
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance throughout the property
  • Maintain the property's grounds, common areas, and overall curb appeal
  • Conduct safety inspections and report safety concerns immediately
  • Coordinate vendor and contractor access when needed
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and supplies
  • Support additional properties in the area as needed
  • Participate in the on-call rotation schedule, as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Experience in residential property maintenance, apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related field preferred
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, and general maintenance practices
  • Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with residents, vendors, and team members
Basic Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must provide personal hand tools required for the position
  • Ability to lift, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical maintenance activities
