Job description

RQ Construction, LLC is currently hiring an experienced Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) to support Field Operations projects in Pensacola, Florida and nearby locations. These projects are performed on active military installations and require strict adherence to federal and contractual quality standards.
The CQCM will be responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining project-specific quality control programs to ensure compliance with all contract requirements. Primary responsibilities include monitoring project quality processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion of project documentation, coordinating with project teams and subcontractors, and maintaining positive relationships with clients and government representatives. This role plays a key part in ensuring successful project execution while supporting RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.
Candidates with direct experience involving medium and high-voltage electrical systems are strongly encouraged to apply. Experience supporting projects such as transformer upgrades, data centers, photovoltaic (PV) farms, utility infrastructure, or military power distribution systems is highly desirable.
Although local applicants may receive preference, this position requires a full-time on-site presence and may involve travel or relocation based on project assignments.

  • Annual salary range: $110,000-$145,000 depending on qualifications and experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, or industrial), Architecture, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered
  • Minimum of 10 years of combined commercial construction experience in positions such as Superintendent, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Quality Control Manager
  • At least 2 years of direct experience serving in a CQCM role required
  • Current USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification required
  • Familiarity with RMS/QCS systems preferred; training available if needed
  • Specialty inspection certifications or licenses are highly preferred
  • LEED AP, AP+, or Green Associate credentials are considered a plus
  • EM 385-1-1 Level 1, CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30 certifications required; training may be provided
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet-based systems required
  • Experience using construction management platforms such as Procore, Autodesk Build, and RMS/QCS preferred
