Maintenance Controller
Location: Miami, Florida 33126
Department: Maintenance

About the Role

7 Air is looking for a Maintenance Controller to help keep our aircraft safe, compliant, and ready to fly. In this role, you will be the main point of contact for coordinating aircraft maintenance and supporting day-to-day operations.

What You’ll Do
  • Oversee and coordinate aircraft maintenance activities across all locations
  • Support real-time operational and maintenance decisions
  • Serve as a key point of contact for mechanics, pilots, and operations teams
  • Monitor aircraft status, including out-of-service aircraft and return-to-service timelines
  • Ensure all maintenance records, logbooks, and documentation are accurate and compliant
  • Manage the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) program
  • Coordinate Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations, including parts and personnel
  • Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance teams
  • Track engine oil usage and monitor aircraft condition
  • Communicate updates and report any unusual incidents to leadership
  • Assist with scheduling, travel coordination, and logistics for maintenance personnel
  • Maintain and update maintenance systems (e.g., FlyPal CAMO)
What We’re Looking For
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License (required)
  • Experience in aviation maintenance (Maintenance Control experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of FAA regulations and compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems and troubleshooting
  • Experience with maintenance tracking systems/software is a plus
  • Boeing 737 familiarity or training is preferred
  • Ability to make quick, informed decisions in high-pressure situations
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on safety and accuracy
