Employment Success Coach

Location: Bronx, NY
Job Type: Temporary-to-Hire (4-Month Assignment with Strong Potential for Permanent Employment)
Compensation: $25/hour during temporary assignment | $50,000-$55,000 annually upon permanent hire

About the Opportunity

Staffing Boutique is conducting a search on behalf of a respected nonprofit workforce development organization seeking an Employment Success Coach to join its Bronx-based team.

In this role, you will serve as a trusted Career Advisor, helping individuals identify career goals, develop employment plans, and access the resources needed to achieve long-term success. This position is ideal for professionals who are passionate about empowering others, building meaningful relationships, and guiding individuals toward sustainable employment and economic mobility.

The Employment Success Coach combines career advising, employment coaching, participant advocacy, and case management to help individuals successfully navigate their career journeys.

Position Overview

As an Employment Success Coach, you will support participants through every stage of the employment process. Acting as a dedicated Career Advisor, you will provide one-on-one coaching, create personalized action plans, connect participants with valuable resources, and help them overcome barriers that may impact their success.

This role requires strong communication skills, a solution-oriented mindset, and a genuine commitment to helping people achieve meaningful personal and professional goals.

Responsibilities

Career Advising & Participant Coaching

• Serve as the primary Career Advisor for an assigned caseload of participants.
• Conduct intake assessments, orientations, and eligibility reviews.
• Develop individualized employment and career action plans.
• Establish measurable goals and milestones that support participant success.
• Provide ongoing coaching, encouragement, and accountability.
• Monitor participant progress and adjust plans as needed.

Employment Readiness & Career Development

• Guide participants through career exploration and employment planning.
• Assist with resume writing, interview preparation, and professional networking strategies.
• Support job search activities and application efforts.
• Educate participants on workplace expectations and professional communication.
• Identify training, educational, certification, and skill-building opportunities that align with participant goals.

Resource Coordination & Barrier Resolution

• Assess challenges that may affect employment or program participation.
• Connect participants to community-based resources and support services.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address participant needs.
• Help participants develop practical solutions to employment-related barriers.
• Encourage long-term career stability and self-sufficiency.

Case Management & Documentation

• Maintain accurate participant records, case notes, and service documentation.
• Track engagement, outcomes, and progress toward established goals.
• Ensure compliance with program requirements and documentation standards.
• Prepare reports and updates related to participant activity and outcomes.
• Manage caseload responsibilities while maintaining high-quality service delivery.

Program Support & Team Collaboration

• Work closely with workforce development, training, and employer partnership teams.
• Support achievement of program goals related to enrollments, placements, retention, and participant success.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to a collaborative and mission-driven team environment.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to build rapport and establish trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong problem-solving and relationship-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Preferred

• 1-3 years of experience in workforce development, career services, social services, case management, higher education, counseling, nonprofit programs, or a related field.
• Experience creating individualized service, employment, or career development plans.
• Knowledge of workforce development and employment readiness best practices.
• Experience supporting individuals facing barriers to employment.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.
• Ability to motivate individuals and support progress toward measurable outcomes.
