  • Role Overview: The Cardiac Anesthesiologist provides anesthesia services for a wide range of cardiac  and thoracic procedures, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, and other  complex cardiac interventions. This role also includes performing and interpreting TEE
    as part of intraoperative management  Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting a Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiac  Anesthesiologist to join our growing cardiovascular service line. This is an outstanding  opportunity to become part of a nationally recognized health system committed to

    Our cardiac anesthesia team works collaboratively with cardiothoracic surgeons,  interventional cardiologists, perfusionists, critical care physicians, and advanced  practice providers in a high-acuity environment supporting a comprehensive  cardiovascular program.

    Responsibilities
  • Provide anesthetic care for adult cardiac surgical procedures
  • Perform and interpret perioperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
  • Participate in multidisciplinary cardiovascular care teams
  • Support quality, patient safety, and clinical excellence initiatives
  • Supervise and collaborate with CRNAs and Anesthesiologist Assistants, as  applicabl
  • Participate in call coverage as determined by departmental scheduling
    Required Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency
  • Fellowship training in Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology
  • Eligible for unrestricted Georgia medical licensure
    Preferred
  • Advanced Perioperative TEE Certification
  • Experience in complex cardiac and structural heart procedures
  • Interest in quality improvement, education, and program development
