Cardiac MRI Technologist I

Full Time
The Cardiac MRI Technologist I is responsible for performing high-quality cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging procedures. This position requires a strong foundation in echocardiography, the ability to perform routine Cardiac MRI exams independently, and a deep understanding of cardiac anatomy and imaging protocols. The technologist collaborates closely with physicians and other care team members to ensure accurate, timely, and safe imaging services for cardiac patients.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic cardiac MRI exams, including evaluation of cardiac volumes and function, with minimal supervision
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring safety and comfort
  • Assist physicians with advanced imaging procedures and protocols
  • Ensure imaging quality and diagnostic accuracy in compliance with organizational and regulatory guidelines
  • Maintain MRI safety standards for patients, staff, and equipment
  • Document patient history, procedures, and imaging results accurately in the EMR
  • Deliver exceptional service to patients and clinical teams in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
Required Skills & Certifications
  • Must be a certified Echo Technologist
  • Certification Required: ARMIT or ARRT-MR or RDMS
    • If certified with RDMS, must obtain ARMIT within 18 months of hire
  • Excellent understanding of cardiac anatomy, MRI safety, and imaging protocols
  • Ability to operate MRI equipment and perform high-quality scans
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in clinical environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in Cardiac MRI or echocardiography in a hospital or diagnostic imaging center
  • Experience working in an academic medical center or cardiovascular specialty clinic
