Clinical Assistant Cardiac Monitor Technician


Join Our Growing Cardiology Team!

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Clinical Assistant Cardiac Monitor Technician to support our busy outpatient cardiology practice. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys direct patient interaction, technical responsibilities, and contributing to exceptional cardiovascular care.

As a Cardiac Monitor Technician, you will be responsible for the placement, management, and support of ambulatory cardiac monitoring devices while assisting with diagnostic testing workflows and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Cardiac Monitoring

  • Apply and remove Holter Monitors, Event Monitors, and Mobile Cardiac Outpatient Telemetry (MCOT) devices
  • Educate patients on monitor use, symptom documentation, and return procedures
  • Verify patient demographics and physician orders prior to monitor placement
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance throughout monitoring periods
  • Ensure a positive patient experience through professional and compassionate care

Clinical Support

  • Upload perfusion reports from in-house Nuclear Stress Testing into the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Scan and upload ECG strips from Nuclear Stress Testing promptly and accurately
  • Support cardiology providers and clinical staff with diagnostic workflow needs

Equipment & Inventory Management

  • Maintain inventory of monitoring devices and related supplies
  • Clean, prepare, and test equipment between patient uses
  • Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate maintenance needs
  • Track and replenish supplies including electrodes, batteries, and patches

Documentation & Compliance

  • Accurately document patient encounters and monitoring activities in the EHR
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
  • Follow clinical protocols and manufacturer guidelines
  • Participate in quality improvement and process enhancement initiatives
