Card Services Specialist

Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU), headquartered in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, with more than $1.4 billion in assets, is looking for a Card Services Specialist to join our collaborative and service-focused team.
In this role, you'll play an important part in supporting UECU's debit and credit cardholders by ensuring daily card settlement activities, dispute processing, fraud monitoring, and related operational tasks are completed accurately and on time. This position is a great fit for someone who values accuracy, enjoys working through details, and takes pride in delivering reliable service to members and internal teams.
What You'll Do
- Accurately complete all card settlement and clear exception items daily.
- Complete month-end reconciliation of chargebacks-in-process general ledger accounts.
- Complete monthly review and clearing of Credit Balance Report items.
- Investigate and respond to written and verbal member inquiries related to Regulation E and Regulation Z disputes to ensure proper resolution. Process disputes and adjustments through final resolution in accordance with applicable federal, Visa®, and network regulations, and enter information into the host system for dispute tracking.
- Monitor dispute status reports weekly to ensure timely resolution.
- Respond to member calls requiring in-depth card services knowledge and/or card system access.
- Review fraud alerts and related details within the card processing and host systems to determine whether a card should be blocked and to contact the cardholder as appropriate.
- Identify member service concerns, operational issues, or fraud patterns and escalate them to management as appropriate.
- Maintain a working knowledge of state, federal, Visa, and network regulations applicable to card services.
- Evaluate workflows and recommend process or operational improvements when appropriate.
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with established operating policies and procedures to support adequate controls and the Credit Union's adherence to regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent required; business coursework preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a financial institution preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience with Regulation E or Regulation Z dispute resolution preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience preferred.
