Landscape East & West is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new commercial maintenance growth by identifying and developing client relationships and expanding the company's market presence within the Portland Metro area. The Business Development Manager will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and maintain current and potential client relationships.
  • Prepare action plans and sales strategy to identify specific prospects. Maintain budget for the sales strategy.
  • Identify sales prospects and follow up on new leads and referrals efficiently.
  • Prepare sales bids to secure new accounts in target markets. Present sales proposals and sales contracts. Prepare any necessary bids for initial clean-ups prior to starting accounts.
  • Visit prospective clients and community partners throughout the Portland Metro area.
  • Participate in associations to market our services. Initially CAI & OWCAM. Expand to other associations as needed.
  • Attend industry events, participate in community outreach, and build relationships with potential clients and partners.
  • Utilize Pipedrive and Aspire software to create, track, and manage client estimates, contracts, and job scheduling.
  • Partner closely with Client Representatives and Operations on handoffs and execution readiness.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 yrs experience selling landscape maintenance services or similar in a commercial / HOA setting.
  • Prospecting, closing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent sales acumen with the ability to identify, pursue, and close opportunities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and marketing/advertising skills
  • Possess a valid & insurable driver's license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to walk through client's property, through all types of terrain.
  • Able to drive company assigned vehicle.
  • Occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.

Work Schedule:

  • Position requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, at times, including occasional evenings.
