Description of the role:
The Used Car Technician at Gwinnett Place Ford is responsible for providing high-quality automotive service in a fast-paced environment. This role requires technical proficiency and the ability to work efficiently to meet used car department demands.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough Used car inspection up to and including CPO inspections
- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
- Perform basic diagnostic and repair procedures, including minor driveability, suspension, and engine repairs
- Ability to learn and perform basic factory recalls
- Repair vehicle issues accurately and promptly
- Ensure vehicles are serviced and repaired to the highest standards
- Communicate effectively internally with the used car recon advisor and the used car director regarding service recommendations and vehicle updates
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an automotive used car technician preferred
- Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in automotive repairs and maintenance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
