Description of the role:

The Used Car Technician at Gwinnett Place Ford is responsible for providing high-quality automotive service in a fast-paced environment. This role requires technical proficiency and the ability to work efficiently to meet used car department demands.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough Used car inspection up to and including CPO inspections
  • Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
  • Perform basic diagnostic and repair procedures, including minor driveability, suspension, and engine repairs
  • Ability to learn and perform basic factory recalls 
  • Repair vehicle issues accurately and promptly
  • Ensure vehicles are serviced and repaired to the highest standards
  • Communicate effectively internally with the used car recon advisor and the used car director regarding service recommendations and vehicle updates
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an automotive used car technician preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in automotive repairs and maintenance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
