Job Description Stock Receiving Associate

Reports to: Warehouse Manager or Store Manager

Summary/Objective: Our stock/receiving associates are very important to everyone in the company. Parts are delivered by our vendors and store managers daily. All products received must be checked in and verified in the system before they are put on our shelves.

Essential Functions
    1. Unload and load trucks with care, following the safety policies outlined in the employee handbook. Many of the parts being handled are very expensive
    2. Incoming shipments are to be checked according to your manager/supervisor instructions
    3. Stock is then taken to the end of the aisle to be put away efficiently and effectively
    4. Stock must be put away as soon as possible in the correct place
    5. When a product is found to be out of place, please take the product and put it where it belongs
    6. If product is received damaged, it must be reported to manager immediately
    7. If product box is not sealed properly, product must be re-taped
    8. If you have emptied a box after removing the last product from the shelf, you must throw out the empty box from that aisle
    9. If you find product and the box is empty, bring to your manager
    10. From time to time you will be pulled to work in other areas of the warehouse
    11. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a store front and warehouse environment.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

A Warehouse Associate may assist with order selecting and shipping out customer orders. Must be able to work 1st shift 6AM - 2:30PM . This position will accurately package auto parts for customer orders, stack boxes ready to ship on pallets, then wrap pallets for carriers to pick up. you may also assist with picking auto parts for customer orders.

Job responsibilities:Accountability

Attention to detail is a must

Basic computer knowledge is a plus

Keeping area clean

Other duties as assigned

Requirements:Strong work ethic

Ability to handle physical workload which includes bending, twisting and lift up to 50 pounds continuously

MUST have a Team Work Attitude!

A least 6 months of warehouse experience a plus
