Job description

Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $19.33 - Midpoint: $24.18 (Hourly N5)
Department/Organization: 200722 - Center for Instructional Technology
Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Job Summary: The Audio Visual Technician I assists in the technical support and installation of all instructional facilities on campus. Monitors and responds to calls to the help desk.
Additional Department Summary: Installs and maintains all presentation classrooms, conference rooms, digital signage systems, conferencing systems, and Emergency P.A. systems at The University of Alabama, and will occasionally support live events.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications: CTS and other industry certifications (Extron, Crestron).
