Job description

About the job

Marketing & Community Manager Mountain Mile · Pigeon Forge, TN · Hybrid

Great places deserve great stories. We're looking for someone to tell ours.

Mountain Mile is 174 acres of retail, dining, and entertainment in the heart of Pigeon Forge — and one of East Tennessee's fastest-growing destinations. We're hiring a Marketing & Community Manager to be both our voice online and in the community.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a two-sided role for a dynamic self-starter. You're a sharp, hands-on marketer and a people-first community builder. On any given day you might edit a short-form video in the morning, meet with a tenant about a joint promotion at lunch, and be the social presence on property at an event that evening.

If you love storytelling, thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy being on-site to capture the action, and want to be the person tenants, partners, and guests know by name — this one's for you. This is not a role for someone who waits for direction. It's for someone who shows up with ideas and owns their craft.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Marketing

  • Own our marketing strategy and direction across every channel, and build monthly content calendars aligned with campaigns, events, and seasonal priorities
  • Create original content with a heavy emphasis on short-form video (Instagram & TikTok) — much of it captured on-site, in real time, mobile-first
  • Plan and manage paid ad campaigns across Meta and Google
  • Manage day-to-day community engagement online — comments, DMs, and brand sentiment — and surface insights to leadership
  • Track and report on performance (engagement, reach, growth, conversions) and use those insights to optimize content and campaigns
  • Spot trends and platform shifts to keep Mountain Mile fresh, relevant, and top of mind all season long

Community

  • Build and maintain relationships with our tenants — spotlighting their shops, restaurants, and experiences
  • Represent Mountain Mile with local partners and stakeholders across the Pigeon Forge tourism and events community
  • Lead influencer outreach and partnerships — coordinating visits, deliverables, and tracking return on investment
  • Develop sponsorships and community partnerships that grow our footprint
  • Be the social and physical presence on property — at events, activations, and key moments, capturing the action live
  • Partner with our team to plan and execute Mountain Mile's marquee events — Kickoff to Summer, Jeep Invasion, Oktoberfest, and Christmas at Mountain Mile — with the support and runway to take full ownership over time

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven experience managing marketing strategy and direction (3+ years in social media or digital marketing)
  • Strong content creation across video, photo, and copy, with a real emphasis on short-form video
  • Hands-on experience running paid ad campaigns (Meta & Google)
  • Comfort with social media management and analytics tools, and a data-informed approach to creative decisions
  • Strong organization and project management — comfortably juggling content, campaigns, partnerships, and events
  • A self-starter who brings energy, ideas, and ownership to the table

A bonus, but not a deal-breaker:

  • Familiarity with the Pigeon Forge / Sevier County market, or experience marketing entertainment-based developments
  • Experience with consumer-facing brands in hospitality, tourism, or lifestyle
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field

THE DETAILS

  • Location: On-site in Pigeon Forge with a hybrid schedule; regular in-person presence required, including at events
  • Reports to: Ownership, working day-to-day with the Mountain Mile team

Company Description

The Mountain Mile is the premier shopping/dining/entertainment/lodging district in Pigeon Forge. We have a ton of projects underway and plenty more in the pipeline. We are looking for passionate, hardworking, and intelligent people to help grow our brand.
