Job description


Position Summary
As a Technology Analyst, you will support project teams by collecting, organizing, and managing spatial data used for design coordination, construction planning, and documentation. This role contributes to field and office-based reality capture workflows by assisting with data collection, equipment handling, and data management while developing technical skills in scanning technologies and pointcloud processes. The position works closely with senior team members to ensure data is captured accurately, safely, and in alignment with project requirements.
Position Details
Field Data Collection & Equipment Support
  • Assist with on-site data capture using laser scanners, Matterport cameras, and photogrammetry tools.
  • Support senior technicians during capture activities to ensure work aligns with project scope, safety requirements, and schedules.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting in the field, including connectivity, battery, and data transfer issues.
  • Perform routine equipment care, including cleaning, calibration checks, and inspection for defects or damage.

Documentation & Data Management
  • Assist with organizing, transferring and preparing scan data for processing and QA review.
  • Support the management and basic processing of pointcloud data captured on-site.
  • Follow established file management, naming conventions, and data handling procedures to ensure accuracy and traceability.

Relationship Building & Team Collaboration
  • Work collaboratively with senior Reality Capture Technicians and project team members to support successful capture operations.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively regarding field activities, issues, and next steps.
  • Maintain a team-oriented mindset while working within defined guidelines and workflows.
  • Participate in technical reviews, contributing insights from field operations to improve processes.

Travel Requirements
  • Frequent travel may be required, including overnight and multi-day trips, depending on project needs.
  • Travel may include local, regional, and occasional out of state job sites.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions while traveling.
  • Travel schedules may change with short notice due to project demands or site conditions
  • Ability to transport and handle scanning equipment during travel to and from job sites.

Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of scanning equipment (Faro or Leica), photogrammetry, or surveying concepts.
  • A proactive, "can do" mindset with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Familiarity with construction drawings, field documentation, and measurement tools.
  • Basic computer literacy, including file management and data transfer.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with trades, contractors, and project leadership.
  • Strong problem-solving attitude and willingness to learn new technology and workflows.
  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate degree in construction, engineering, or related discipline preferred.
  • Preference will be given to candidates in proximity to the following Southland Locations: Carrollton, TX
