Accounts Payable Clerk

The Opportunity
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk in our Accounting Department to assist with payments, reconciliations, and reporting of firm transactions. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is based in our Los Angeles office.
Accountable for
  • Review and process vendor invoices
  • Facilitate payment of vendors, including verifying federal ID numbers, reviewing invoices, and resolving discrepancies
  • Assist with reconciling monthly vendor statements and transactions
  • Provide detailed case-related cost reports
  • Collaborate with internal departments to verify invoice details and obtain payment approval
  • Assist Accounting department with month-end, quarter-end, year-end close and other ad hoc reports

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
  • Previous experience working in a law firm is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in bookkeeping programs, spreadsheets, and other accounting-related software
  • Excellent analytical, computational, and mathematical abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
  • Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred
