What You'll Do
As a Project Manager, you will lead capital projects and provide management to challenging growth projects Within North America. You will be responsible for ensuring that capital is invested efficiently and effectively through application of the project management system to all capital projects. Other duties include:
  • Improve project delivery capability by continual development of both systems and personnel.
  • Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety. (Ensure SAO (Safe Act Observation), JSA (Job- Step Analysis), Take 5's, stretching, and all safety rules are being completed.)
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE (Health, Safety & Environmental) Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations.
  • Supports Business Improvement initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility
  • Ensure compliance with and continuous improvement of the PMO's Project Management System.
  • Control the project capital expenditure and schedule to achieve project objectives.
  • Monitor and forecast the project capital outlay.
  • Ensure project planning and delivery performance targets are set and achieved.
  • Provide concise, clear project reporting across all assigned projects.
  • Embed value analysis processes to capital submissions proposals.
  • Integrate Global engineering resources into capital projects where required.
  • Assemble and utilize competent and capable multidiscipline project teams utilizing both internal and external resources, establishment of project leadership and coaching cultural settings, ensuring performance is assessed and actively managed towards achievement of project objectives.
  • Be the Project Management Office (PMO) representative of the project delivery team, facilitating clear and concise communications and help establish & maintain strong relationships with the site leadership team.

What We're Looking For:
  • BS degree in Engineering preferred (Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical) or 5 years' experience as Project Manager
  • 5+ years in a related industry with a proven track record in project management, problem solving, startup and commissioning.
  • Experience in managing individual projects with total value greater than $5M and portfolios with total value in of $10M.
  • Knowledge of the selection of process equipment such as pumps, vessels, and heat exchangers.
  • Familiarity with automated process control in manufacturing operations, including temperature, flow, level, pressure, and pH instrumentation.
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and team player
