Join us and help the world’s leading organizations unlock the value of technology and build a more sustainable, more inclusive world.## Role OverviewWe are seeking **a Confirmed Cybersecurity Engineer** with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience to design, implement, secure, and operate cybersecurity solutions in **complex, large-scale, and regulated environments**.The role **combines hands-on technical engineering, security operations**, and collaboration with architecture, SOC, and governance teams.The Cybersecurity Engineer will contribute to the **implementation and continuous improvement of security controls**, ensuring systems are secure, resilient, compliant, and operationally effective..## Type of responsibilities* Design, implement, and maintain technical cybersecurity controls across infrastructure, systems, networks, and platforms* Deploy and harden security solutions such as Network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN), Endpoint and server security, Identity and Access Management (IAM, MFA, RBAC), Logging, monitoring, and detection tooling (SIEM / SOAR)* Apply secure-by-design and defense-in-depth principles* Perform system hardening and security configuration reviews* Support security monitoring, incident response, and investigations in collaboration with SOC and CERT teams* Participate in incident handling, root cause analysis, and remediation actions* Contribute to vulnerability management activities: Scanning, analysis, prioritisation, and remediation tracking* Participate in security assessments, audits, and compliance reviews* Design, implement, and operate mobile security controls for corporate and managed devices## Required Skills & Experience**Mandatory*** **European Union nationality** (EU-27)* **Fluent English** (working language)* **Minimum 6 years of experience** in Cybersecurity* **At least one recognised cybersecurity certification,** such as: CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC certifications (GSEC, GCIH, GCED, etc.), Vendor or platform certifications* Strong hands-on experience in security engineering or security operations* Ability to work in a **multicultural, international environment*** Eligible for **EU security clearance*** Master’s degree in IT or Cybersecurity**Strong Assets*** Network and system security* Identity and access management* Security monitoring and logging* Vulnerability and patch management**Soft skills*** Strong analytical and problem-solving skills* Ability to work autonomously in operational contexts* Clear technical communication and documentation skills* Team-oriented mindset in international environments* Risk-aware and security-focused approach## WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT WORKING HERE* At Capgemini Belgium we offer flexibility in more than one way: next to our hybrid way of working, where we offer you can work 70% from home, we also offer our flex abroad program.
