Job Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
  • 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience required
  • At least 1 year of ER travel nursing experience required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required and must be maintained
  • Successful completion of pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams
  • Strong English communication skills, including reading and writing
  • Experience with IV administration, IV starts, ventilator care, and telemetry monitoring
  • De-escalation certification preferred
  • TNCC, ENPC, and PALS preferred
Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses closely in a fast-paced ER environment
  • Document assessments, care plans, and discharge needs accurately and thoroughly
  • Communicate pertinent clinical information to the interdisciplinary care team
  • Support and guide ancillary staff while maintaining professional nursing standards
  • Demonstrate proficiency in charge nurse responsibilities when needed
  • Use computerized nursing systems effectively to support patient care and documentation
  • Promote safety practices, including adherence to blood/body fluid precautions and other hospital policies
  • Contribute to quality improvement, staff education, and ongoing professional development
  • Provide excellent service to patients, families, visitors, volunteers, and coworkers
