Summary:
Redwire Space is a rapidly growing aerospace and defense company advancing new space systems. We are seeking an independent and driven Business Development and Capture Manager, Sr. Lead to work remotely (ideally in the Denver, CO area) who can take lead on commercial and civil space pursuits. This position will lead proposal efforts and be responsible for garnering opportunities with commercial and civil space customers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Increase market penetration for Redwire's key strategic focus areas, including a wide range of products such as avionics, power distribution, thermal, camera systems and other GN&C components
  • Identifying potential customers, thorough market analysis, novel technology innovation and business case analysis
  • Promote the Company with the specific purpose of expanding its market and increasing its client base both domestically and international
  • Achieve $20M+ in bookings annually
  • Establish and maintain contact with the Company's partners that can assist with increasing sales through added value or additional functionality
  • Attend and participate in professional meetings, conferences, or events to promote the Company's products and services.
  • Writing proposals involving open solicitations and direct to customer sales.
  • Proposal management involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leading the development of team-based customer pitches.
  • Developing and maintaining customer relationships.
Ideal Experience:
  • Bachelor/s Degree or higher, preferably in a technical, business, or strategic discipline
  • Minimum of 10 years Business Development, proven abilities in direct support for Business to Business (B2B)/ Business to Government (B2G)
  • 8+ years of experience in space systems, defense acquisition, or aerospace business development and able to work independently
  • Experience working with commercial space corporations or other space-focused government agencies
  • Prior success leading diversified product teams
  • Experience with proposal development, negotiation and closing
  • Ability to learn quickly and assimilate the detail of project requirements
  • Excellent customer engagement and management skills for both domestic and international
  • 15% out of area and overnight travel both domestic and international may be required

  • Expertise with identifying, shaping, and managing strategic opportunities that support business growth objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing complex gov't. budget information (DoW/IC POM) and communicating trends effectively using tools such as power point.
  • Demonstrated ability to present technical presentations to internal and external customers.
  • Previous experience providing market and competitor intelligence on market segments, as well as insights on competition specific to individual opportunities.
  • High energy, self-motivated with a solid work ethic and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communicator with strong oral, writing, and PowerPoint skills
  • Collaborative, positive, team player-willingness to jump in and support our team members as needed
  • Familiarity with and established domestic and international contacts within the space and defense industry.

Pay Range
$148,000 - $212,000/yr.

Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant's level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will be considered for higher pay.
