Job Description

The Senior International Capability Development SME supports USSOCOM J3-I partner nation SOF interoperability by assessing capabilities, developing roadmaps, coordinating participation in training, exercises, war-games, and security cooperation activities. Requires SOF selection qualification, a related bachelor’s degree, security cooperation training or comparable international military experience, and 15 years of combined SOF and regional experience.

Summary of Duties

Supports Partner Nation SOF interoperability by assessing capabilities, developing roadmaps, coordinating training and exercises, aligning acquisition efforts, and managing security cooperation activities.

Duties

  • Develops capability roadmaps improving Partner Nation SOF interoperability with USSOF.
  • Assesses Partner Nation SOF capabilities, gaps, and interoperability improvement actions.
  • Coordinates Partner Nation participation in interoperability programs, exercises, training, and war-games.
  • Drafts planning products, capability profiles, objectives, and progress-tracking roadmaps.
  • Supports alignment of Partner Nation SOF acquisitions with security cooperation mechanisms.
  • Supports TSOC defense institution development efforts within assigned J3-I countries.
  • Performs Foreign Disclosure Representative, close-out, and escort security duties.
