What were looking for

A highly organized, commercially minded Business Development Manager to support the strategic growth of Infinites client base. Reporting to the SVP, Business Development, this role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution: keeping proposals moving, intelligence flowing, and pipeline data accurate while playing an active part in pursuit strategy across the firms core sectors. Ideal candidates will bring three to five years experience in a business development, BD operations, or closely related function, ideally at a PR or communications agency, law firm, professional services organization, or large consulting firm. This is a role for a proactive operator who takes pride in making a high-performing team more effective and who finds the operational side of business development just as interesting as the strategic side.

What youd do

Proposal and Pitch Support

  • Coordinate the end-to-end development of RFP, RFI, and proposal responses; manage timelines, inputs, reviews, and final production.
  • Draft first versions of capability statements, credentials decks, and pitch materials; ensure all content is accurate, on-brand, and tailored to the prospective client.
  • Maintain and regularly update a credentials library and case study database; work with practice leaders and the marketing team to obtain approvals and keep content current.
  • Produce and update pitch decks, backgrounders, and presentation materials for introductory and exploratory BD conversations.
  • Coordinate inputs from content, digital, research, and design colleagues to ensure proposals reflect the firms full range of capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen proposal quality and consistency over time by developing reusable assets and scalable processes.

CRM and Pipeline Management

  • Maintain the firms CRM (HubSpot) with accurate, up-to-date opportunity records, contact information, and pipeline status.
  • Track all active BD opportunities from initial lead through close; monitor follow-up actions and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Prepare regular pipeline and activity reports for leadership, including monthly reporting to parent company stakeholders.
  • Work with the SVP and firm leadership to ensure the CRM reflects current priorities and supports forecasting and revenue reporting.
  • Build and maintain target account lists in support of proactive BD outreach strategies.

BD Project Management

  • Manage action items and follow-up resulting from BD meetings, prospect calls, and internal strategy sessions.
  • Coordinate strategic account planning efforts, including maintaining planning documents and tracking progress against targets.
  • Maintain BD calendars, pursuit timelines, and planning documentation to keep all stakeholders aligned and on schedule.
  • Support annual BD planning and serve as an operational hub connecting the SVPs strategy to day-to-day execution across the team.

Research and Market Intelligence

  • Partner with the firms research function to develop prospect briefing materials, target lists, competitive intelligence summaries, and market trend analyses.
  • Ensure research outputs are effectively integrated into proposals, pitch materials, and account planning efforts.
  • Monitor industry developments and competitor activity in the firms core sectors, including legal, professional services, and financial services.
  • Support the identification of relevant speaking opportunities, sponsorships, and industry events alongside the Marketing team in support of the firms visibility strategy.
  • Commit to continuous learning and improvement of professional skills.
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Infinites values (integrity, agility, compassion, and courage).

Why we want you

  • You have three to five years of relevant experience in business development, BD operations, or a closely related function; prior experience at a PR or communications agency, law firm, professional services organization, or large consulting firm is strongly preferred.
  • You have demonstrated ability to coordinate complex, multi-stakeholder proposal and pitch processes from initiation to submission, and you take pride in the quality and polish of the materials you produce.
  • You are highly organized with exceptional project management skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines without sacrificing quality or attention to detail.
  • You are a strong writer; you can draft clear, compelling capabilities and proposal content with limited direction, and you understand how to tailor a narrative to a specific audience and opportunity.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, and you know how to build polished, professionally formatted documents and presentations.
  • You have working knowledge of CRM platforms (HubSpot or Salesforce) and are willing to develop deeper expertise in support of the firms reporting and pipeline management goals.
  • You are analytical and research-oriented; you can synthesize competitive intelligence and market data into actionable insights that sharpen BD strategy.
  • You are proactive, self-directed, and collaborative; comfortable working across internal teams including account management, research, content, and design.
  • You are professional, collegial, and service-oriented, and capable of representing the firm effectively in introductory and exploratory conversations with prospective clients.
  • You are highly resourceful and a critical thinker; you know when to ask questions, where to find answers, and how to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have knowledge of the legal and professional services landscape, or a demonstrated eagerness to develop it quickly.

What we offer
