Job description

Cut & Wrap Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to support daily operations within our Cut & Wrap facility. This role plays an important part in supporting production teams, coordinating operational activities, and driving Continuous Improvement initiatives across the department. The Operations Coordinator will work closely with Production, Maintenance, Safety, and Continuous Improvement teams to support day-to-day execution, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.

This is a hands-on position with regular interaction on the production floor and strong collaboration with both hourly and salaried employees.

Key Responsibilities

Operational & Continuous Improvement Support

  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives through data collection, validation, reporting, and tracking related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
  • Attend and support daily shift line board meetings, including preparing materials, tracking action items, gathering performance metrics, and following up on assigned tasks.
  • Assist Operations leadership and CI teams in identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement through accurate data analysis.
  • Support the development, maintenance, and auditing of standard work, job breakdown sheets (JBS), and operational procedures.
  • Track CI initiatives, kaizen actions, and improvement project progress to ensure accountability and sustainability.

Reporting & Data Management

  • Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and annual operational reports and dashboards.
  • Collect and enter production, labor, efficiency, quality, and downtime data.
  • Assist with root cause documentation and corrective action tracking.

Training & Development

  • Coordinate training and employee capability development activities with Managers, Zone Leads, and Line Leads.
  • Maintain training matrices and ensure records remain current and accurate.
  • Support onboarding and cross-training initiatives.

Purchasing & Vendor Coordination

  • Order production consumables, office supplies, and safety materials.
  • Coordinate with sanitation, uniform, and footwear service providers.
  • Support vendor service reviews and performance tracking.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all GMP, SQF, food safety, and company quality standards.
  • Immediately report any food safety, quality, or workplace safety concerns.
  • Provide administrative support for Environmental Health & Safety activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of administrative or operations support experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment with regular floor presence.
