About the Role
Are you seeking an opportunity to work for one of the world's most admired companies? Canon Americas' Industrial Products Division is looking for a Sales Support Specialist. Initially, you will need to understand Canon's full suite of Industrial Products, particularly the Photolithography equipment. The ideal candidate will begin their training process with learning product knowledge, business operations and strategies. Canon is devoted to research and development, a passion for technological innovation, and a deep commitment to social and environmental responsibility.
You will be challenged with developing the skills necessary to effectively communicate with customers and Canon teams in USA and Japan. We will educate you in the navigation of Canon's varied management and internal resource channels, and assist as you learn to develop the strategies necessary to manage and support internal processes and accounts. You will further develop and utilize your strong time management skills to provide consistent accessibility, service, and maximum visibility to both internal stakeholders and customers. Our goal is to train you to become an effective Sales Support Specialist whose ultimate objective will be to establish strong relationships, both internally and externally, and contribute to sales growth.
Your Impact
- Represent Canon professionally by obtaining comprehensive knowledge of our product portfolio and sales processes.
- Increase sales performance by building close relationships within Canon, our clients and how our products can fit their market needs.
- Contribute to the achievement of monthly and annual sales product and revenue targets.
- Work closely with the sales team by preparing lithography equipment specific sales presentations, proposals, gathering input from our manufacturing factory and other necessary materials as necessary.
- Assist in the development of pricing strategies, quotation preparation.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships using matrix level communication across multiple departments including purchasing, accounting, service and engineering.
- Work closely with sales management, service and engineering teams in US, Japan, and other global locations to prepare solutions for customers.
- Working with supervisors, support coordination of each stage of lithography-equipment purchase with customer as well as external and internal teams to ensure orderly and timely order processing, equipment production, shipment and equipment installation.
- Assist in the negotiation of commercial and product specifications and to help close deals by reaching agreements with mutual satisfaction to Customers and Canon working with supervisors.
- Complete all required administrative duties, including reports to internal team members, order submission and tracking to Japan, maintain follow up items, and satisfy other documentation needs.
About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in technical, business, and/or marketing discipline is highly preferred with 3-5 years of related sales experience.
- B2B sales/business development experience preferred.
- Mindset to communicate with internal stakeholders and customers closely for business development and close relationship building.
- Entrepreneurial mindset to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Proficiency in Japanese language (speak, write, read), preferred.
- Job may require travel in the US 1-2 times in one month (and occasionally to Japan)
In accordance with California law, we are providing the anticipated salary for this role; $70,310 - $81,550
