Job description

Are you a motivated brand advocate. Do you have experience managing a territory while making independent decisions to drive sales results. Do you enjoy planning and managing events.

The primary function of the Canon Territory Sales Lead is to increase market sales of Canon digital imaging products by building brand advocacy in-store through sales associate training, direct consumer experiences and leveraging store relationships. This position will also be responsible for coordinating and executing promotional and special events, both in and out of their assigned territory.

REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED: Bachelor's Degree highly preferred; not required Minimum 5+ years of experience managing a territory with a sales and training quota and requirement Experience increasing brand performance with consumer electronics' brands in key national retailers Expert level knowledge of all Canon products and ongoing training as new products are released. PRO level training is required for all representatives to uniquely qualify them to represent the brand Understanding of the industry, BDSmktg and the applicable industry environment Must have excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills Must be able to adapt to changes and respond supportively in working with various circumstances and people Must be able to deal with varied issues with integrity, honestly and in a candid, straightforward manner Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others. Ability to travel within a designated market Detail oriented Computer Skills: Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point applications Must meet all pre and post-employment screening requirements, including but not limited to background check, MVR, and drug screening ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Advise and implement ways to improve brand awareness and merchandising with retail managers.

Build independent management level relationships to grow sales results, operating practices, and brand presence in-store. Achieve a measurable increase in Canon sales and brand awareness within the territory. Mapping and independent planning of territory execution plans, visit tactics and promotional activities.

Educate, train and build brand advocacy with retail associates and managers both on the sales floor and in educational/classroom environments. Plan, setup, support and report out on Canon events including overnight travel within the US. Interact with consumers and event attendees as product experts and advisors.

Quality control and auditing of Canon property and products at retail stores as it relates to merchandising compliance and functionality. Manage market development fund budgets and inventory of Canon point of purchase assets, consumables, and other merchandising items. Manage various reporting inputs including market intelligence, audits, trainings, sales, and other sensitive brand data.

Create value add by leveraging relationships to gain incremental floor space and new sales opportunities for Canon (example: bulk stacks, end caps). Report all required activity within the BDS reporting software as well as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Other tasks as requested by supervisor.
