Job description

Overview

We are seeking a strategic, high-impact Retail Marketing Manager to lead and scale local marketing efforts across our six cannabis dispensary locations in the New Orleans metro and surrounding Louisiana areas. This is not a "behind-the-desk" role; you will be the primary architect of our regional presence, driving patient acquisition through deep community integration, sophisticated event strategy, and hyper-local brand positioning.

You will serve as the essential link between corporate brand strategy and store-level execution, ensuring every activation translates into measurable foot traffic and long-term patient loyalty.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regional Strategy & Execution: Develop and own the localized marketing roadmap for six retail locations, aligning high-level brand goals with the unique cultural nuances of the New Orleans market while collaborating with the brand and corporate marketing teams.
  • High-Impact Event Management: Design and manage the end-to-end strategy for major community activations, educational initiatives, and street team deployments.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify, negotiate, and manage high-value relationships with local businesses, medical influencers, and community leaders to expand our referral network.
  • Budget & ROI Accountability: Oversee the regional marketing budget. Track, analyze, and report on the performance of all field activities, utilizing data to pivot strategies and optimize spend.
  • Market Intelligence: Serve as the internal subject matter expert on the Louisiana cannabis landscape. Identify OOH (Out-of-Home) opportunities, monitor competitor moves, and engage untapped consumer segments.
  • Compliance Leadership: Ensure all field marketing and localized creative assets strictly adhere to Louisiana state cannabis regulations, acting as the final point of review for regional compliance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with store leadership to address retail needs using the marketing strategy playbook you develop and refine with marketing leadership.
Who You Are
  • Experienced Marketer: 4–7 years of experience in retail marketing, field marketing, or high-volume hospitality. Experience in the cannabis industry or non-profit sector is a plus.
  • Strategic Doer: You excel at both planning and execution. You are ready to handle the logistical heavy lifting of a pop-up to ensure brand success.
  • Analytical Mindset: You focus on results; you understand how to evaluate a P&L to determine the success and scalability of an activation.
  • Communication Pro: You are equally comfortable pitching partnerships to business owners, rallying a street team, or presenting performance results to executive leadership.
  • Resilient & Adaptable: You thrive in the evolving landscape of a developing industry and can navigate the unique pace of the New Orleans market.
  • On-Trend: You possess a strong understanding of social media trends and their role in modern marketing strategies.
  • Market Presence: This role requires a regular on-site presence in the New Orleans metro area. Candidates must reside locally or be willing to relocate to the market.
What Success Looks Like
  • Measurable Growth: You drive a consistent YoY increase in new patient acquisition and store-level foot traffic.
  • Operational Excellence: You execute high-converting, professional events that set the standard for the local industry.
  • Brand Authority: Our dispensaries are recognized as community staples rather than just retail outlets due to your successful outreach and partnerships.
  • Proactive Optimization: You identify market gaps independently and present data-backed solutions to the brand group.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision
  • Paid time off and observed company holidays
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth
