Job Summary:
As the National Director of Sales Operations, you will play a pivotal role as a leader within our sales organization, optimizing sales processes and ensuring our sales department's efficient and effective operation. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, leadership, and a deep understanding of the cannabis industry or similar CPG industry. You will be responsible for maximizing revenue, enhancing customer satisfaction, and achieving company growth targets.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company goals, leveraging data insights for growth opportunities.
  • Set ambitious sales goals, monitor metrics, and implement effective forecasting processes, utilizing data analytics to optimize decision-making.
  • Monitor market trends, competition, and regulatory changes for strategic adjustments, particularly leveraging data analytics.
  • Integrate and communicate programs between sales and marketing teams, emphasizing a customer-centric approach and data-driven visit strategies.
  • Optimize the sales process for productivity, streamline workflows, and identify automation opportunities, applying Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and data-driven insights.
  • Implement and maintain CRM systems for tracking sales performance and customer data, serving as the local CRM Administrator and BI Super User for enhanced operational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Finance for accurate sales forecasts and budgets, adjusting strategies as needed, emphasizing the use of analytics for informed decision-making.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed targets, with a focus on building a team adept in leveraging data and analytics for sales operations.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners, utilizing data insights to enhance customer satisfaction and support.
  • Analyze sales data, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and provide comprehensive reports to the executive team, spearheading cross-functional projects with strategic business partners and emphasizing analytics for informed decision-making.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Possesses outstanding analytical, strategic, and communication skills, placing a distinct emphasis on harnessing data for valuable insights.
  • Exhibits proficiency in CRM tools, notably Salesforce.com, coupled with expertise in project management that emphasizes the effective utilization of data for project execution.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree is required, and a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Operations, including 3 years in a leadership capacity, highlighting a keen commitment to data-driven decision-making.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Capable of repetitive hand and arm motions as well as extended periods of typing.
  • Capable of looking at a screen for extended periods or entire shifts.
  • Some travel may be required to attend cross-functional team meetings or support product launch events.

Work Schedule (Exempt):
This is a full-time, exempt position. The role requires the flexibility to work the hours necessary to meet business needs, which may include extended hours, weekends, and holidays. Work schedules and expectations may be adjusted based on operational priorities and organizational demands.
