About Jetty Extracts:

Jetty Extracts is a premier cannabis extraction company that produces innovative products and world‑class cannabis oils, headquartered in Oakland, CA. In 2013, Jetty Extracts began producing extracts and concentrates in San Diego, CA. Jetty is now one of the top extracts and concentrates brands in California.

Starting with a few individuals committed to creating clean, refined cannabis concentrates by the beach, Jetty has evolved into a group of passionate professionals committed to becoming one of the world’s most respected cannabis brands.

While the last several years have seen Jetty grow exponentially, we continue to be committed to craft, working with small farmers, producing the cleanest and tastiest products, and contributing to our communities. As we do so, we continue to support the Shelter Project, the company’s in‑house compassion program that has been providing free cannabis oil to cancer patients since 2014.

About the Role:

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is the executive leader responsible for Jetty's manufacturing, supply chain, and operational strategy, ensuring the company has the capabilities, systems, and leadership required to achieve its long‑term business objectives.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the COO provides strategic leadership across Jetty's manufacturing network, including production facilities in Oakland, CA and Albany, NY, as well as the company's third‑party manufacturing partner in Denver, CO.

The COO is accountable for ensuring the organization's operational capabilities, manufacturing infrastructure, innovation engine, and supply chain network support Jetty's long‑term growth, profitability, product quality, and customer commitments. This leader establishes the operational vision, develops organizational capability, and drives enterprise‑wide initiatives that improve manufacturing performance, supply chain resilience, capital efficiency, and execution across the network.

As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the COO partners with the CEO and executive leaders to shape company strategy, advise on operational investments, and ensure manufacturing capabilities support Jetty's long‑term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Provide executive leadership for Jetty's manufacturing network while ensuring operational excellence, scalability, and long‑term competitiveness.

Establish and execute the company's manufacturing and operations strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.

Lead operational performance across Jetty's manufacturing facilities and third‑party manufacturing partnerships.

Build a scalable operating model capable of supporting future growth, geographic expansion, and product innovation.

Drive enterprise‑wide operational excellence initiatives that improve efficiency, quality, service, and profitability.

Ensure manufacturing capabilities remain aligned with commercial demand and strategic priorities.

  • Buildout and Relocation of CA Headquarters:

Lead the planned relocation of Jetty’s headquarters within California.

Support the executive team in evaluating options that will better suit the growth plan for Jetty in California.

Assist in the design and custom buildout of the space.

Plan and oversee the relocation of all operations, while ensuring inventory remains healthy and minimizing operational hiccups.

Ensure a successful winding down of operations at the current facility.

  • Innovation, R&D & Scale‑Up:

Build and institutionalize a scalable innovation, research & development, and commercialization engine that supports Jetty's long‑term growth, product leadership, and market expansion.

Establish the strategic vision, structure, and operating model for Jetty's innovation, R&D, and commercialization functions.

Develop a stage‑gate innovation process that enables efficient product development, testing, commercialization, and continuous improvement.

Create a repeatable framework for evaluating, prioritizing, and advancing innovation opportunities from concept through market launch.

Partner with Product, Marketing, Strategy, Sales, and Manufacturing teams to translate consumer insights and business priorities into a robust innovation pipeline.

Evaluate current manufacturing processes, equipment, and throughput to identify opportunities for innovation, automation, and scalability.

Build the systems, talent, and capabilities required to support new product development, formulation innovation, process improvement, and technology evaluation.

Develop and manage capital and operating plans required to scale manufacturing capabilities in support of future market expansion.

Work with internal teams and external partners to design, develop, test, and implement new equipment, technologies, and production processes.

Ensure successful scale‑up and commercialization of new products and processes from concept through full production while maintaining quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Establish innovation and R&D performance metrics, resource planning, and prioritization frameworks that maximize return on investment.

Foster a culture of experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement that strengthens Jetty's competitive advantage and supports future market expansion.

  • Supply Chain & Network Optimization:

Develop a resilient, efficient manufacturing network that delivers consistent execution and supports long‑term business growth.

Drive operational performance that strengthens profitability and creates long‑term enterprise value.

Own manufacturing and operations financial performance, including operating budgets, capital investments, and productivity initiatives.

Identify opportunities to improve gross margin through operational efficiency, manufacturing optimization, and disciplined resource allocation.

Establish operational performance metrics that provide executive visibility into business health and manufacturing effectiveness.

Partner with Finance on long‑range planning, forecasting, and investment decisions.

  • Operational Governance, Quality & Compliance:

Ensure operational integrity through disciplined governance, quality systems, and regulatory excellence.

Champion operational governance that ensures consistent execution across all manufacturing locations.

Maintain the highest standards of quality, compliance, product safety, and regulatory adherence.

Establish enterprise‑wide operating standards and accountability for operational performance.

Proactively identify operational risks and implement strategies that strengthen business continuity.

  • Executive Leadership & Organizational Development:

Build an operational organization capable of sustaining high performance and long‑term growth.

Lead and develop the senior operations organization, including the Vice President of Operations, site leaders, supply chain functions, and innovation/R&D capabilities.

Build organizational capability through leadership development, succession planning, and talent strategies that position Jetty for long‑term growth.

Partner with the Head of People to strengthen organizational design, workforce planning, and employee development across the manufacturing organization.

Serve as a trusted member of the Executive Leadership Team, providing strategic guidance on operational performance, organizational capability, and business growth.
